Rules & Conditions:

  • This competition is to encourage growers to exhibit produce from their own kitchen garden.
  • In this competition the produce should be the property of & be grown by the exhibitor.
  • Each exhibit must consist of a display of Fruit & Vegetables Excluding Potatoes.
  • Not fewer than 7 kinds.
  • Mixed cultivar permitted to be staged for effect.   Foliage & Root Growth may be trimmed for display purposes & Herbs may be included.
  • The Veg & Fruit should be displayed within an area not larger 610mm x 610mm (24”x 24”)
  • However, foliage & roots may extend beyond that boundary but not rest on the show bench.
  • The competition will be judged as follows:

Variety: 25 Points/Condition & Quality: 50 Points/Overall presentation & attractiveness: 25 Points.

  • Two exhibits to qualify at each show.
  • At Final - Marquee will open from 7.30.a.m. on show morning & will close at 10.00.a.m. sharp for judging.  Marquee will open at 12.00 noon to the public.
  • Exhibits cannot be removed before 5.00.p.m.
  • These rules should be read in conjunction with the ISA rules.

                              Entry Fee to Qualifying Show - €3.00                      Final   -  €6.00

                              Final will take place at Tullamore Show on Sunday 11th August 2024.

Only pre-paid entries will be accepted. 

ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE IN PLACE BEFORE 10.30AM. Judging starts at 11am SHARP. 

No entries permitted on day of event.
